Welcome to Lunar Gypsy Light!

Hello Friends and Happy New Year! I’m so excited to begin these little monthly check-ins with you. These are moments I want to take to check in with all of you, share what I’ve been up to, what is coming, and how things in day-to-day life are going. I hope this is something that will encourage others to tag along and have a moment that feels relatable to their own daily routine. Lunar Gypsy Light came about when I decided it was time to start doing what felt right for me. As someone who has established my career and fulfilled all the obligations of “growing up,” I now want to do what is fun for me. I encourage all other working moms, women on the backside of their careers, and those who want to put themselves first to come along and enjoy some quiet time and self-reflection.

Encouragement of the Month

As we step into a fresh chapter, may you find gentle moments to rest, reset, and remember who you’re becoming. There’s no pressure to reinvent yourself all at once—growth can be soft, quiet, and wonderfully imperfect. You’re doing better than you think. I like to say, Just Do You. Do what feels good and right for you and not worry for a moment about what others think of you. This is your time to rest and grow into the dreams that you once had or currently have.

Behind the Scenes at Lunar Gypsy Light

This month has been all about testing new candles, starting a business, and figuring out what works and what doesn’t. I can tell you what doesn’t work came up a lot! Time management is the biggest challenge. Lunar Gypsy Light is a business I wanted to start, but I also still have a full-time career. So many of us want to dream big, but the reality is we still have life to contend with. I am grateful for my full-time job, but my goal is to create something that is mine to claim. But I had known this was what I wanted to do for a while, so I persevered and continued my journey. I’ve been pouring fresh batches, refining scent blends, and dreaming up new ways to bring more wonder into your homes. My studio is filled with notes of sage, driftwood, amber, and a little hint of warmth—basically my happy place. And to be honest, my studio consists of a spare room with a mess of stuff everywhere. I’ve adjusted to working within the space I have and any other nook and cranny I could find to store all the things.

Scent Spotlight: Twilight Glow

To kick off the new year, I wanted to highlight Twilight Glow, a candle that feels like a cozy moment in a study full of loved books, looking out of a window on a fantastic evening. This candle feels warm, aged, and a bit luxurious. Hints of Cedar, Sandalwood, Rosewood, and a touch of Leather will have you lighting this candle many times over. Light this candle before settling into a good book and take time for yourself and for the things you long for.

I’ve started testing new blends for the coming seasons and planning for the year. I will share more as new items become available. If you have made it this far, Thank You! This first entry is a bit long, but I felt it was needed to lay some groundwork for who I am and what I would like to do. Each month, I will share more behind-the-scenes and upcoming releases.
