Real Life Check-In (Keeping This Honest This Month)

May showed up… and if you’re anything like me, it didn’t exactly ask permission.

Some months feel like forward motion.
Others feel like you’re just trying to keep all the plates from crashing to the floor.

And here’s the truth I’m leaning into right now, not every season is meant for full speed ahead. I’m struggling to get out of parked mode.

Sometimes it’s about pausing, resetting, and letting the next step come into focus rather than forcing it.

Because let’s be honest… (talking to myself here)

Have you ever forced something to stay “on track”… and it turned out exactly how you knew it would? Yeah… same.

As I’m writing this, I’m already behind, a little cranky with myself for waiting too long, and still wanting this to be something relatable to all of you out there in the real world, feeling the same way.

We are in this together, friends. We can do this (after binge watching, of course).

Season Shift: Longer Days, Lighter Energy

There’s something about May that feels like a quiet exhale.

The days are a little longer.
The air feels a little lighter.
And everything starts nudging us outside again—whether that’s travel, yard work, or just sitting still for a minute longer than usual.

Or… maybe binge watching an entire show because you know—just one more episode and then I’ll get busy again. Anyone? Or just me?

This is the in-between season.
Not the rush of spring and not the heat of summer either.

And maybe that’s the point.

What if this month isn’t about doing more… but about clearing space for what’s next?

Behind the Scenes at Lunar Gypsy Light

This month is a little different over here.

No big launches planned.
No major testing (yet).
No “look at this shiny new thing.”

And instead of seeing that as falling behind, I’m choosing to see it as intentional space and room to breathe a little.

Because what’s coming does need that space.

Late May into June will start the early stages of testing for something I’m already looking forward to—
a mid-year collection that leans into a little nostalgia, a little warmth, and a touch of winter magic… right in the middle of summer.

(Yes… we’re quietly heading toward Christmas in July… and I couldn’t be more excited about it.)

No rush. No pressure.
Just building it the right way.

Encouragement of the Month: Permission Granted

So here it is—simple and honest:

Permission granted.

Permission to slow down.
Permission to not have everything figured out.
Permission to take a breath without feeling like you’re falling behind.

Because you’re not.

You’re just in a different part of the process.
